What’s New for Patients:
athenaPatient Portal and App: View your clinical notes and test results, view and pay statements, and more from your computer or via the athenaPatient mobile app.
Automated Appointment Reminders: Receive automated text, call, and/or email appointment reminders with convenient options to confirm, reschedule, or cancel your appointment.
Electronic Check-In: Complete intake forms, sign consents, upload your insurance card, and pay your copay directly from your smartphone or computer before arriving.
Online Scheduling: Book and manage appointments online quickly and easily at your convenience.
Record Sharing: Our system will securely synchronize with local hospital networks and area physician offices. This allows your primary care doctors and specialists to easily view your podiatry records, while giving our doctors direct access to your relevant medical history, labs, and test results.
What to Expect:
New Appointment Reminders: In January 2027, you will begin receiving automated text, email, and/or phone reminders featuring one-click confirmation and pre-check-in links.
All-Digital Intake: We will no longer utilize paper intake forms. You can complete your intake forms on your smartphone or computer prior to your visit, or on an office iPad when you check in.
Updated Billing Statements: If you receive paper statements or utilize our online bill payment system, their appearance and layout will look different starting in the New Year.

When will the transition happen?
Our practice will go live with athenaOne in January 2027. Until then, all current office procedures and scheduling remain unchanged.
Will my previous records transfer over?
Yes. We are migrating the past three years of active clinical data directly into athenaOne. Records older than three years will remain securely archived and accessible in our medical record storage if required by law.
How do I get access to the new patient portal?
Once we launch in January, you will receive an invitation link via email or text after scheduling or completing an appointment. You can download the athenaPatient app from the App Store or Google Play Store to log in once your account is activated.
What if I already have an athenaHealth account with another doctor?
If you already use athenaHealth with your primary care provider or another local specialist, you will be able to link North Hills Foot and Ankle Center to your existing login, keeping your medical information organized in one place.
